Link building is essential for any online business owner make money on the Internet. No back links is equivalent to no traffic and no traffic means no income. Your entire profit is highly dependent on the actual number of visitors you get on your website. If statistically 1 out of 100 people make a purchase you would need 10 000 visitors in a month to make 100 sales. In order to double your sales you would just need to double the amount of traffic you get.

So in this highly competitive world of Internet, the hunt for traffic is the real hunt. All sites want to lure that visitor searching for something on Google, but you need to at leats be on the top page in order to be the one who “traps” him. And there is no better way to increase your ranking the through link building.

There are hundreds of ways out there through which one can acquire back links, but after all you want to try the best method as it’s your time and money you are investing. You could use blogs, forums or web directories in order to link build, but the one method which proved out to be working under all conditions is to use YouTube.

YouTube is the video streaming site which dominates the Internet and which drives through millions of visitors every day. Getting just a tiny bit of these visitors to come to your website can make wonders. So what is the best way to post a link on YouTube?

Basically there are about 5 places where links work on Youtube and we will analyze each of them in the following paragraphs.

1. Inside a video
The first place where you can place your link is in a video. The main disadvantage is that people need to manually type the URL in their address bar and very few do. This is because they might make spelling mistakes, it’s because you need to close a window and open another and it’s because they lose their Youtube window. So if you manage to create a really viral video it might work, but it’s not the best thing.

2. Annotations
The new feature Youtube offers is the use of annotations and they are simply pop-ups inside the video. They can be enabled or disabled, but they are an actual link, rather than some text in a video. Clicking on the annotation is an event which can actually take place.

3. In the description
If you post for example a song and put the lyrics in the description it’s quite possible that people will read the description. Place a link in there and you will surely receive your clicks.

No matter where you place that link, having it on YouTube is a clear path to success.
